TERMS & CONDITIONS

By booking an appointment with Amazing Beauty Salon (“we,” “us,” or “the Salon”), you (“the Client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

These policies help maintain fairness, safety, and professional quality for every client.

1. Appointments & Rescheduling

Clients may reschedule up to 24 hours before their appointment without penalty.
Reschedules within 24 hours are subject to availability.

2. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellations within 2 hours of appointment time will result in loss of deposit.

  • No-shows automatically result in loss of deposit.

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Repeated no-shows may lead to booking restrictions.

3. Late Arrival Policy

We offer a 30–45 minute grace period when possible.

Late arrivals may result in:

  • Reduced service time (with no price reduction), or

  • Rescheduling if the service cannot be completed.

No late fee is charged at this time, however ongoing lateness may affect future bookings.

4. Tender-Headed / Comb-Out / Special Handling

Clients requiring additional handling, slower pacing, breaks, detangling, or sensitivity accommodations may incur a special handling or comb-out fee based on time and amount of work required.

This fee is assessed in person to ensure fairness.

5. Excessive Prep, Removal, & Detangling

Services involving:

  • Previous braids/extensions

  • Gel/acrylic removal

  • Product build-up

  • Matted hair

  • Excessive detangling

may incur additional fees evaluated during service based on degree of work required.

6. Kid Service Policy

Children are welcome only if they are being serviced.

For safety and scheduling:

  • Kids must remain seated during their appointment

  • Crying, excessive movement, or inability to sit may require service adjustments or cancellation

  • Parents are responsible for supervising their child at all times

Children not scheduled for services are not permitted to accompany clients.

7. No Extra Guests Policy

To maintain a professional and safe environment:

  • No extra guests are permitted unless they are receiving a service

  • This includes spouses, friends, and children who are not booked

This policy helps the salon operate efficiently and safely.

8. COVID/Illness & Health Safety Policy

For the safety of all clients:

  • If you are sick, experiencing symptoms, or recently tested positive for COVID-19, you must reschedule

  • Please notify us as soon as possible if illness arises before your appointment

We reserve the right to refuse service due to health or sanitation concerns.

10. Photography & Social Media Consent

We may take pictures or videos of completed work for marketing and social media.
By receiving service, the client grants usage rights without compensation.

Clients may opt out simply inform us before or during service.

11. Payments, Deposits, & Chargeback Protection

Deposits secure appointments and apply toward final balance.

Remaining balances are due immediately upon service completion.

Because services are time and labor-based:

  • All completed services are final

  • No refunds after services have been provided

Clients agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for completed services.
Attempted chargebacks will be considered fraud and pursued legally where applicable.

12. Client Conduct & Courtesy

Clients must arrive prepared, minimize disruptions, and cooperate during service.
Excessive breaks (including smoking) may extend service time or require service modification.

13. Refunds & Service Satisfaction

Due to the handcrafted, personalized nature of beauty services:

  • No refunds are issued once services are completed

  • Concerns must be raised before leaving the salon so corrections can be made

14. Website & Online Booking Terms

Use of our website or booking system constitutes agreement to standard website terms including “as-is” materials and no liability for third-party links.

15. Legal “Not Responsible For” Clause

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amazing Beauty Salon is not responsible for:

  • Allergic reactions

  • Damage caused by undisclosed medical conditions

  • Hair behavior beyond the salon (breakage, shedding, slippage, shrinkage, humidity effects, etc.)

  • Work redone elsewhere

  • Personal items lost or left behind

  • Client dissatisfaction not raised during the appointment

16. Liability Limitation

The Salon’s liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.
No consequential, medical, or incidental damages may be claimed.

17. Policy Changes

Policies may be updated at any time without notice.
Booking future services constitutes acceptance of updates.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
